Get started with Defcoin

Choose a wallet, receive coins or connect a miner, then verify the result.
DEFCOIN:“The Honeypot of Cryptocurrencies”

Defcoin is a community cryptocurrency used for learning, mining and transfers. You can receive a small gift before running a miner.

1. Choose a wallet for your device

Back up the wallet or recovery material before using its receiving address. Keep private keys and recovery words to yourself.

Select your platform to see the available release paths and their compatibility notes.

2. Get a receiving address

Open Receive in your wallet and copy a public receiving address. A gift or small transfer lets you test this path before mining.

This address is public. Enter no private key, seed or recovery phrase.

3. Connect your miner

Use Scrypt mining software or a Scrypt ASIC. Enter the receiving address above, then give this miner an optional name.

Enter a complete public receiving address to build your configuration.

The CPU example uses ./cpuminer as the executable name; replace it with the name of your installed build. Scrypt ASICs use the displayed URL, worker and password fields. Mining creates heat and uses power.

4. Verify submitted work and follow payouts

  1. Start your miner and look for accepted work in its own log.
  2. Open the filtered pool view below. Recent workers uses the latest ten minutes; the older rows retain 24 hours of recordings.
  3. Check Current payout recipients for eligibility in the share window. Share discovery and confirmed coin payouts can take longer than worker activity appears.
  4. Follow your address into the explorer to inspect confirmed mining payouts and transaction amounts. A newly mined reward has a maturity delay before it can be spent.

Hardware examples and calculation assumptions

Hardware prices below are dated catalog observations. Fixed-difficulty estimates hold the entered difficulty constant. They are unsuitable as sustained yield predictions when a new miner changes the network’s hashrate and difficulty adjusts. These estimates do not guarantee profit.
